Faith Can Move Mountains

Are there days when you wonder how you will get through it, so overwhelmed that it begins to affect every aspect of your life? It becomes hard to see anything beyond the issue right in front of you. Your problems become larger than life itself.

The apostle Paul gives us hope in Hebrews 11:1 -

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Rather than focusing on the problem we can see, we need to put our trust in the God who oversees it all. It is during these moments that we need to see things through the eyes of faith. It is the one power that we have as Christians to get through the day to day. The eyes of faith help us see from God’s perspective, rather than our own perspective.

When Goliath appeared in all his strength and intimated the Israelites, David didn’t see the giant before him but rather the God beside him. When the Israelites saw their own destruction with the Egyptians in pursuit and the Red Sea before them, Moses saw the God who demonstrated His power through the plagues. When the disciples saw a crucified Jesus, Jesus looked up into heaven to a Father who held the world in His hands.

When you want to give up, understand that God hasn’t given up on you. He gave up everything for you. Faith is realizing that a God, who would spare nothing for your sake, wants only the best for you.

Faith gives us the ability to put our issues in perspective, from God’s perspective. Things always look different when you understand that God is in control.
