OUR MISSION

WHO WE ARE
We are a parish of the Diocese of North America & Europe of the Mar Thoma Church located in Northern NJ. The name “Mar Thoma” translates to Saint Thomas, who was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ that came to the Malabar Coast of India in A.D. 52. We, as a community of believers, share in the burden of proclaiming the Gospel through Worship, Missions, Outreach, and Fellowship.We are a prayerful community as Prayer is deeply rooted in our worship and the visible source of power for our faith in action. We are a community of faithful Stewards, who have been given the responsibility of taking care of God’s creation. We reference the Holy Bible as inspired by God, inerrant, sufficient, and the final authority over our beliefs and actions. We were Inaugurated as a Congregation on October 1st, 2017 in a blessed Holy Communion service led by Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos, Diocesan Bishop, and Rev. Denny Philip, Diocesan Secretary. The Congregation started with 43 families/individuals and is currently pastored by Rev. Jaisen A. Thomas worshiping at Christ Community Church in Waldwick, NJ.

Rev. Jaisen A. Thomas, is a young, vibrant and energetic leader, who is focused on the spiritual needs of the church. He has a genuine passion for counseling individuals and strengthening families. He is mission oriented and intent on making the church relevant to the community that it is placed in. He, as well as Sherin Kochamma, Caleb and Esther, are a blessing to our young congregation and we look forward to growing under his leadership.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
​We believe in the one true God, the Father Almighty.
Maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. ​

We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all world. Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten not made being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man. He was crucified also for us in the days of Pontius Pilate, suffered and died and was buried. The third day he rose again by his Father’s holy will, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead and of his Kingdom there will be no end. ​
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets and apostles. ​
We believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic Church; we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins and look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the new life of the world to come. Amen!
